My Approach & Experience

From my experience as a researcher, I examine situations from multiple perspectives. I collaborate with each client to develop strategies adapted to their unique context and needs (ADHD symptoms, comorbidities, culture, life-style, etc). I also use my experience conducting organizational assessments of staff well-being to advocate for effective and inclusion change in the workplace.

From my experience visiting people in prison, I engage in non-judgmental active listening, understanding that each person does their best with the resources they have in the moment. As much as I can empathize with someone’s emotion or situation, I have no idea what it is like for them. As such, I work with clients to implement new skills while encouraging self-compassion for their previous efforts.

From my experience as a project manager, I apply similar processes and principles to improve clients’ planning and organizing efforts. Together, we build off of strategies that currently works for them and incorporate new approaches to fill any gaps. There are a million ways to achieve the same outcome. I also encourage clients’ to monitor progress and celebrate all victories, no matter how small.
